Zoink.

£38.49 is the lowest I've paid for it, wonder if it'll go £35 for Black Friday...

38.49 was late last year, was about 36 around December the year before that. Would be great if it dips lower, reckon this might be the new "low" price, hope I'm wrong.

My old man loves the sherried blend.

There's also https://www.amazon.co.uk/Berry-Brothers-Rudd-Craigellachie-Speyside/dp/B07QBCVCL4/ which for the price seems very reasonable.

Is it me, or has Amazon's Black Friday whisky sale been distinctly underwhelming so far this year? The only purchase I've made so far was the Teeling Small Batch for £25. Most discounts have been around £10 so no "big" surprise bargains like Talisker 57 North a year or two back for £37, and no really interesting less-mainstream whiskies at all from my perspective other than those two Berry Brothers & Rudd Blair Athol/ Craigellachie bottlings, which stuck around about as long as a fart in the wind.

Heck amazon did a deals day just before Black Friday that was significantly better than their actual Black Friday week sale. Mortlach 12 for something like £41, Oban Little Bay for around £43, etc.

Agreed, there was nothing particularly special in the Black Friday offers. The only one I would've been tempted by was Nikka from the barrel at £31.99, but I already got it from Waitrose for only £2 more. Other than that, there were some decent offers on entry-level bottles (I remember Glengoyne, Aberlour and Glenrothes 10 year olds for under £25) but nothing interesting other than the Berry Bros and Rudd ones.

Last year there was Deanston 18 at £49 or so. (how often do we see a distillery bottled 18 year old at that price?!) Nothing of the sort this year.

Yeah exactly, I was expecting Mortlach 12yr to drop because they seem keen on dropping it, and Deanston 18yr is another almost perennial "big sale" amazon malt I wanted to finally purchase... but no dice. I too have a bottle of Nikka from the Barrel already in my collection so wasn't too tempted by it.

I remember last year they had all three of the Glenlivet Nadurra malts on offer around £40, but this year I think it's just been the peated for a few quid more.

Ah, unlucky with the Deanston. If it helps I actually think the 12 year old is a more balanced and consistent malt. The 18 can be fascinating (when you find the right amount of water to add) but it can also be frustrating because a lot of times I find the finishing (in first fill bourbon casks) makes it too sweet.

Today's offers are better I think. The one that stands out for me is Glengoyne 12 at £25.99 - this is a fantastic price to quality ratio in my opinion.

I updated a few of the Amazon whisky offers on the whisky offers page which seem to be changing quickly this year:

http://www.scotchmaltwhisky.co.uk/latestwhiskyoffersandbargains.htm

It looks like the Glengoyne whisky range will be on offer today on Amazon but they haven't revealed the details yet but you will find them here when they go live:

Thanks, I've never bought a bottle of Deanston's and I intend to rectify that sometime next year if none of their bottlings appear in a sale over Xmas, but I have tried the 18yr at a festival and rated it quite highly. I'm sure I'll love the 12yr too when I eventually get round t obuying a bottle!

Yeah that Glengoyne 12yr offer is great, would have bought a bottle if I hadn't just recently finished my bottle from the last time it was under £30 on Amazon. Trying to save my money for something new! :D
