I'm not up in my Ben Nevis' I've only had 2 17 yo which were heavily sherried so it's hard to gauge with a younger version.

I don't think it's a Dalmore or Clyneish. So Ben Nevis or Balblair I'd narrow it down to (if it wasn't a farclas...!!) Assuming it's all sherried I'd say the cask selection was pretty good, possibly px but that's just me randomly guessing.

Go out and get one! Smile

Spoke to a friend who's tried them both and for £17.49 he was quite surprised, he said after the first glass it did get better, he also said the highland was the pick from the two, he's not big on peated so not sure he will try.. Anybody else took a punt on them yet?

Got a bottle of the highland to try very drinkable and definately more than a hint of glenfarclas and at £17.49 a no brainer
Easily a 80-82/100

I've just had the Highland against a Glen Deveron 12. There are huge similarities albeit the Highland is a younger, rawer version but still sherry led which also reminded me of a Glenfarclas.

So apparently the Christmas offerings

Ben Bracken Islay 22yo (£39.99)

and

Glen Alba 25 Sherry Finish (£29.99)

were both release on 26th October to little or no fanfare! I've visited three Lidls near me to see if they had any to no avail. Alas, I think we've missed the boat.
