Spotted this in the Scotsman. The Famous Grouse is to launch a new super cool Grouse called Snow Grouse in duty free shops around the world for a six month trial period.
Designed to be served straight from the freezer, it is described as "gloopy and sweet" with a delicate, slightly vanilla taste by its makers, who hope it will tempt more people to discover Scotch.
If it proves to be popular in the duty free shops, it could be available in UK supermarkets next year.
I dont fancy it at all myself but can see how it may tempt non whisky drinkers.

Sounds very refreshing for a warm summers day i suppose but not many of them so far this year. Its not for me, if i want a whisky i pour a whisky, if i want an iced drink i will and some coke to some vanilla ice cream.
Holiday makers heading to the sun maybe the correct market for this i think.

I would think Famous Grouse has done their research and believe that there is a market for this and are just probing the market via the travel retail like they did with the Black Grouse although the Snow Grouse doesnt appeal to me at all.
Gregor you have put me in the mood for an iced drink made with ice cream and coke, not had one for years.
