I also recently visited Aberfeldy distillery and that was excellent, very well presented and a lovely location, the shop was Dewars world of whisky and as such was quite aligned with the blended market, but they had both the Aberfeldy 12 and 21 on sale, along side a couple of cask strength Aberfeldy bottles and a couple of self fill bottles of Aberfeldy an 11 year old and an 18 year old.

All in all very enjoyable

Just visited this distillery, sorry but I was quite disappointed, so impersonal in my opinion, I prefer the tour with a guide not something I hold to my ear, had the extra add on of straight from the cask which just seemed rushed, shame because the Whisky was good but I for one won't revisit ... Crying or Very sad

How much were the self-fill 11 and 18 year olds? I imagine both cask strength?

I didn't look at the 18, but the 11 was £70 I think, over priced for what it is but a nice gimmick to be fair. And yes it was cask strength.

I also didn't take too much notice, although I did see it wasn't like other self fills, you just fill automatically and not by hand using the valinch .. Crying or Very sad , so takes half the fun out of it in my opinion ....
