Irish Distillers has announced a return to the fold for the Yellow Spot 12 year old Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey, which has been recreated by the team at Midleton Distillery in Cork.
Yellow Spot was aged in American bourbon barrels, Spanish sherry butts and Spanish malaga casks. It is not chill filtered and it was bottled at 46% ABV. It will be produced annually in batches of just 500 cases.
RRP €65 / £52 for a 70cl bottle.

Green Spot is excellent so i will certainly give the Yellow Spot a try when i get a chance, should be good with extra years maturing and what sounds like more sherry influence |
