Another useful soft-cover book I obtained is the above titled by David Erskine by Doceon Press 2006. What I really like about it is the smooth, flowing simplicity of explanation of the process of making single malt scotch and the the culture of aficianados who enjoy it so many miles away from where it is made. The section on the individuality of tasting is really germane to the subject. It's the kind of book you can read over and over and always get something from it.
