http://www.whiskyshop.com/zenith/

Whilst browsing the whisky shop i noticed the above, bids are being accepted for over £50000 for the only bottle. A bit too steep for me but I wonder what it will go for.

There is some more info on the Dalmore Zenith here

www.scotchmaltwhisky.co.uk/dalmorezenith.htm

including tour dates as it is touring around the Whisky Shop outlets throughout the UK, looks like it is currently in the Oxford Whisky Shop

I assume the whisky shop has a tendency to inflate prices

I always think of the Whisky Shop as a shop which caters to tourists and gift buyers because those who know about whisky and the price of it wouldnt shop there.

yeah it most certainly is, it has to be! i've only been to the ones in edinburgh and york so definitely tourist hot spots. They do have some different stuff admittedly but its the normal stuff that their mark ups are on - I remember Laphroaig QC being on offer at £36 when I was there, considering its £28 full price in supermarkets!

It wouldn't surprise me if they were behind pricing Diageo's 'Managers Choice' range!
