The Balvenie have created a single malt that celebrates the hard work and craft of their Coopers - Craftsman's Reserve No.1, The Cooper.
They will be holding their first ever online tasting on the 17th of January with warehouse 24 members.
It's a unique event in that i can participate - rather than merely spectate - tasting this new malt at the same time as your hosts - and all without leaving the comfort of your favourite chair.
15 Year old,
sherry cask,
59.4%
Who where all lucky enough to receive a tasting pack?
John

I got mine this morning too - really pleased with it. However it has leaked ever so slightly - can I suggest everyone checks their cap is tightly closed? I wouldn't want the willpower required to keep the sample til Tuesday to go unrewarded. |

I got mine today also, not sure if the whole sample will survive until Tuesday.
John i think it was 1000 packs they sent out, so effectively there should be 2000 people tasting it on Tuesday |

no it was free, i received an email asking me to take part in the tasting as i am a member of warehouse 24 and i had to nominate a friend to take part in the tasting, just received the sample and 2 tasting glasses today. I think only a limited number of members were asked and selected randomly. |

It will be interesting to see how the Balvenie Coopers Craftsman's Reserve No1 compares to the excellent Balvenie 17 sherryoak which was also fully matured in sherry casks although the 17 sherryoak was only bottled at 43% _________________ There's no bad whisky. Yes i have one and i have managed to resist tasting it
Enjoying some Port Charlotte tonight but looking forward to the new Balvenie tomorrow which i suspect will be very popular, well depending on the price tag they put on it. _________________ There's no bad whisky. Just good whisky and better whisky. |
