|
|
Hi all,
The time has come again for my next Whisky sale at Tennants auctioneers. There was quite a lot of interest last time round so I thought I would let you all know. Of course I will send over a free printed catalogue, much better than last time!, just message me your address.
There are around 100 lots on offer. Here are some of my favourites:
MODERN:
Macallan: Gran Reserva 18 YO, £300-500 and 30YO, £100-150.
Port Ellen: 22 YO First Annual Release £300-500
Bowmore: Bicentenary £300-500, 32 YO 1968 distillation £200-300
Sprinkbank: Frank McHardy 25 YO, £150-250
VINTAGE:
The Three Arches (I have never seen one before), its early 20th century, £100-200
Canadian Club 1931 £250-350
And of course, plenty of Dimple, including spring caps etc.
MINIATURES:
Plenty on offer this time, about 600, in around 7 lots.
And for those who like cognac, there is even 20 bottles from the 19th century, including 1808, 1811 and 1812 which are pre Waterloo!
The sale can be found at http://www.tennants.co.uk/Catalogue/Sales/184.aspx and then just use the dropdown menu to find all the whisky lots.
This time round we will have live internet bidding in the sale, so you can bid from home alongside the sale! You will have to arrange your own postage or collect them from us, but we can put you in touch with people who can help. Or what a lot of people did last time was to send us a special bottle box, and then we packed them and you arranged a courier to collect. The live sale will be listed on www.the-saleroom.com, where you will need to register, and will be up in a few days. |

Thanks for pointing that out. Never have been able to code!
Don't forget to look at the cask strength heading, and also there are several hundred miniatures in the sale too!
I think the Port Ellen is my favorite, closely followed by the bottle of The Three Arches. I have found very little out about it, and nobody I ask has any information either. I guess we will just have to wait for the sale... |
