I see that the Balvenie 15 Single Barrel has done well in the "Best 15 year old" poll. So i wondered which expression do you enjoy and drink most from Balvenie.
I know there are a few travel retail bottlings and limited edition bottlings but i have kept the poll to options which are available to everyone.

If i was a lottery winner my favourite regular Balvenie would be the Balvenie 30 followed by the Portwood 21 but i am not a lottery winner so if i was to pick my favourite out of these from what i have regularly it would be the 15 having said that all of the Balvenie range is very good.
What can i say i like them all although only had 1 bottle of the 30, excellent. I have had a couple of bottles of the Signature lately and it is very good, the doublewood is a great example of a sherry finished Speyside, the 15 is excellent, the Portwood is one of the best port finished whiskies around.

I love the Portwood but drink more of the doublewood and 15 single barrel due to price. I agree Alastair the whole Balvenie range is very good and very drinkable. There series of 17 year old limited releases have all been very good also, particularly liked the Balvenie 17 Madiera cask

I agree Balvenie has an excellent core range. The Balvenie 30 would be my favourite but i didnt vote for it as i would only have this when splashing out on myself therefore i voted for the 15 single barrel. I must say i have taken to the Founders Reserve replacement the Balvenie Signature.

I would rate all of them very highly. The Signature and Doublewood are great value. I wish they still had a younger cheaper Port wood, the 21 is excellent but not priced for everyday dramming.

I really enjoyed the Madeira cask also, delicious. i am surprised you dont get more madiera cask finishes from other whisky makers as it is always very drinkable in my experience.

I suspect that there are not so many Madiera wine casks readily available (i may be wrong) like there are sherry casks available which is a shame as the madeira casks do add a delicious sweetness and spice.
I went with the Portwood. The Doublewood is undoubtedly fantastic value for money and one of the best whiskies in that price range, but the Portwood is just delicious!
Not had the pleasure of the Balvenie 30 but i have heard it is excellent. The Doublewood is very good for the money so is the 15 single barrel but only had one bottle of this. The 21 is delicious. Not got around to trying the Signature but i did enjouy the 10 year Founders Reserve which it replaced.
I would love to say the 30 year old is my favourite but it is a bit out my price range to be a regular dram but i often have the 21 port wood which is delicious.
Intersting result but I still think the Golden Cask wins hands down
probably not in the poll as it is not generally available as it was bottled for travel retail. I have had 1 bottle of it, it is another decent Balvenie but there would be a few other Balvenies i would choose before it.
