It was about time we had a poll about our favourite no-age statement whisky! I have excluded vintage bottlings and limited releases to reduce the list a bit. It's perhaps a bit unfair for entry-level bottlings like the Bowmore Legend to be pitted against cask-strength heavyweights, but let's see - surely not everyone will prefer the Uigeadail and the Corryvreckan? Very Happy

I've also included some whiskies I know nothing about, such as the Glen Garioch Founder's Reserve - I figured since it's bottled without chill-filtering at 48% it must have its fans.

As for me, I must shamefully admit I haven't tried either of the Ardbegs on the list (only the 10 year-old), so right now I'm torn between the Talisker 57' North and the Laphroaig Quarter Cask. I'll probably vote for the Laphroaig since I like it about as much and is much better value for money.

Apologies if I've missed out any obvious ones!

Great idea for a poll Alex.

I could pick any one of these as they are all excellent, just depends on my mood and the occasion. But if ihad to choose one which i would miss most if it was gone it would be the Ardbeg Uigeadail

I am just new here but not to whisky. These are all great drams but to me these ones are outstanding:

Aberlour A'bunadh
Ardbeg Uigeadail
Auchentoshan Three Wood
Caol Ila Cask Strength
Laphroaig Quarter Cask
Talisker 57 Degrees North

I gave my vote to the Laphroaig Quarter Cask but i could easily have voted for any of the above.

Oops I forgot to include them in the poll - I was under the impression they were limited releases.

Yea i think you are right Alex, well the Sonnalta is certainly a limited release not sure if the Signet is limited or part of the core range. Either way it is out of my price range for everyday dramming unfortunately as it is excellent.

Anyway with Jim Murray naming the Glenmorangie Sonnalta as best No Age Statement (Multiple cask) Scotch single malt whisky in his latset Whisky Bible remaining stocks are sure to disappear fast.

I wouldnt say i have a preference between any of these bit the one i would drink most is the Laphroaig Quarter Cask, probably due to the price/quality of it. The Ardbegs are excellent but a bit expensive for me for everyday dramming.

The Glenmorangie Sonnalta PX is a limited release, its part of the Private Edition series which also includes Astar and Finealta.

The Glenmo website doesnt seem to say whether the Signet is a limited edition or not but i believe it is. Isnt ithe Signet a blend of Glenmorangies oldest whisky, distilled over thirty years ago when malting still occurred on site, they cant keep that going for ever so i would guess it is limited. And the Signet is a superb dram as is the Sonnalta.

My pick would be the Ardbeg Corryvreckan over the Uigeadail

I did get the chance to try the Glen Garioch Founder's Reserve recently and it's very good indeed - as is the 12 year-old.
