There are lots of free whisky books on the web, one site I use for free is scribd com, you jsut have to upload an own document every couple of times then they dont charge...
I just downloaded the 128 page Craft-of-Whiskey-Distilling.pdf Though It is more about american ones, it has lovly pictures in it , I upped it for you guys here:

You can easier locate something of interest on scribd (or any other book site) if you do an outside google search like this, cause the site itself is a bit slow and needs lots of resources:
