The Glasgow Herald has 5000 free miniatures of The Black Grouse to give away this Saturday 22nd January so if you havent tried the Black Grouse yet now is a good chance to try it. It is a very good blend and very much worth a try.

Opps i guess i should have posted this in the blended whisky section.

I wouldn't bother rushing out to buy The Herald today. I have just logged on to the promoton website, only to discover that, due to the high demand, the promotion is closed. That's 5,000 miniatures - and it's only 9.10 am!!!

Thanks Ellie

I guess word got out and somebody must have posted the link to the promoton website somewhere on the web. They really need to find a better way to do this as many who actually buy the paper to get the free mini will not get one. And i am sure the freebie grabbers wontbe back to buy a bottle in the future.

I found the Black Grouse and the Black Bottle very similar, strangely didnt Famous Grouse/Edrington Group own Black Bottle at one time.

Yes thats right Black Bottle was part of Highland Distillers. I agree both very similar and great value blends especially when they are on sale.
