Kenny the likes of Jim Murray and his whisky bible yield a lot of power and i believe he can have a huge influence on whisky sales. In the past i have changed my mind about whisky purchases simply because of what it has said in the whisky bible. Anyway i will go for the "ALL OF THE ABOVE" just depends on my mood which one i go for and as someone mention the Glenfiddich 15 is often on offer making it a great buy.

You wonder how many whiskies dont sell because of comments by whisky critics like Jim Murray. I do think they do have considerable power now as more and more whisky drinkers educate themselves about the dram in there glass.

I gave the Glenfiddich my vote, cant get enough of it, probably the one i drink most out of all of them. Although all the others are very good also but never had the Bowmore Mariner.

There is also a huge amount of whisky blogs which have appeared recently and many of them review whiskies, and i am sure they could also influence what people may buy.

I am sure some of the big whisky companies hate some of these blogs as all you need is someone with a dislike for a certain brand of whisky and they could potentially do untold damage to the whisky brand.

I dont look at any of the whisky blogs now, they are all the same and IMO not many of them actually have any whisky news that they havent scrapped of other big whisky sites.

This thread has reminded me i need to pick up another bottle of the Balvenie 15 Single Barrel, i finished my bottle off over christmas giving it to visitors - i am way to generous but they loved it even a couple of non whisky drinkers.

Just thought of another decent 15 year old which is worth a mention, the Glendronach 15 Revival not the old bottling which wasnt so good, the new Glendronach 15 is a decent dram altough not so many would have tried it so it wouldnt have effected this poll too much.

The Bowmore Darkest 15 year old is very good an a big improvement i think on the old no age statement Bowmore Darkest.

Love the Glenfarcals 15 and the Balvenie 15 single barrel is pretty good also.

I refrained from voting from the list since my experience is limited to one bottle of Glenfarclass 15 & one of Balvenie 15 Doublewood.

Accepting it may have been released after this poll was originally created, I think the Glenallachie 15 is an exceptional dram. Well priced and very flavoursome.
