Just to say still worth keeping an eye out i went abit further afield today seeing as i drive for work. My route today took me past a lidl and i gave it a try,lo and behold a brand new box of 6 bottles sitting on the shelf and the Daily mirror are still doing the £5 voucher so i've got my second bottle at £25. |

Went back for another bottle with a voucher from the paper. My guess is that £25 outlay could be a good investment considering stock was limited to 3600 so second bottle will stay sealed for a while.
The packaging may be tacky but this Maxwell is a quality dram for the price so try and get one before your mates do. Just enjoying another - no water for me though...!
Daily Mirror has another £5 voucher tomorrow so might consider a third but local Lidls have sold out already. Tobermory 10 y/o at £16.99 also sold out but you can get that anytime. They've got a set of 3 Glenfiddich minatures for a decent price but I'll pass - can't remember price but I'm sure it was one each of 12, 15 and 18 y/o.
Asda Bootle have got a few on offer at the mo; Froyg Quarter Cask £22 , Ardmore £22, Penderyn Madeira finish £24, Dalwhinnie £24, Highland Park £22, Talisker £22 , Aberlour £18 - take your pick. |

last year i had a bottle of 'Ben Bracken' 12 year old speyside malt from lidl and I did not enjoy it. It was similar to Glenfiddich in taste but no way near as complex. Oh well cant complain at 12.99 a bottle! |

I randomly went into Lidl for the first time in about 3 years yesterday and came across the Maxwell 28 year old and for £30 I thought "I'm having some of that!!!". Opened it last night and was so impressed that I went back this morning and bought the last one in the shop. Now to find some more!
Also through searching for it on the web I came across this site....... Bonus!!!

That was a bonus indeed JAB although I really didn't mind paying the full price as it is definately worth the money.
Cheers for the welcome

It won't do any good even if someone does as he doesn't have to answer publicly.
Cheeky really!

The one on eBay is now at £62 with 40 minutes to go. I can't believe that people will pay twice the price for a whisky that is still available!
