yes was considering that, i have another 5 with the metal hoops still on them and 4 of just the tops, all coming from bowmore / auchentoshan and glen garioch distillerys. so eventually will do all 3 and others but just dont know what one to do next.
Could do one fairly quickly if i just stencel on the name in paint, or takes an extra few days to a week to engrave the wood.
Not entirely sure what to do with them once done cause they do take up a fair bit of space lol _________________
I would think if selling them they would be of more value if engraved with the distillerys name from which it originated but on the other hand how would anyone else know where it originated. I think if you where looking to sell there wouldnt be a huge market, although they look good to whisky drinkers it would come down to space for most people, i personally wouldnt have space.
Would love to put all the names of distillerys on them and mount them on one wall stacked above each other, but hey who has the space to do this, bad enough having 9 glass display cases for all my bottles! _________________
You are lucky you have room for display cases, most of my bottles are now tucked away in cupboards throughout my 3 bedrooms. I keep meaning to do an inventory of what i have and where it is in the house, as it is getting hard to keep track of what is where when you tucked them away a few years earlier.

I live in a old house and my cupboards are part of the building and are quite large with solid walls so when the doors are closed they stay quite cool, i have built in solid shelves into the cupboards and they hold about 150 bottles in each cupboard, i dont store anything else in the cupboards
