I have survived my 10th Malt Whisky Festival on Speyside (not including the Islay Festivals).
And as promised here's a list of Malts under £30 ;

However may I suggest that you should be on the look-out for bargains in supermarkets, specialist shops (like Malt of the month).
Towards Christmas many of those malts above can be seen even below and around £20. As your taste progresses (it didnt take me long) you should venture into the more classic malts. In addition look around on the web for specialist whisky shops too.
Whatever you do, enjoy a dram (within reason), it's good for the heart !!
