Dalmore The Trio, The Quartet and The Quintet travel retail exclusive single malt whiskies.

Whyte & Mackay has revealed three new forthcoming permanent additions to its global travel retail exclusive line-up from its Scotch single malt whisky brand, The Dalmore.

The three new no age statement expressions which are said to take their inspiration from the outstanding, pioneering, 6-cask finish single malt The Dalmore King Alexander III expression are – Dalmore The Trio (3-cask finish), Dalmore The Quartet (4-cask finish) and Dalmore The Quintet (5-cask finish).

All three of the new whiskies will be available on GTR shelves from July 2020, with airport retail store activations planned from September 2020.

About the three new Dalmore travel retail exclusive whiskies:

  • Dalmore The Trio
The Trio has three cask finishes of first fill ex-bourbon, 10 Year Old Tawny Port and 30 Year Old Matusalem sherry. This whisky is said to have a flavour profile of ripe plums and berries with hints of sweet spices.

    Bottled at 40% ABV in a 1 litre bottle. RRP £69.999 / €78.99/ $94.99

  • Dalmore Quartet
Quartet is described as refined and fragrant. Finished in four casks - first fill ex-bourbon, 30 Year Old Matusalem sherry, 30 Year Old Apostoles sherry and Bordeaux Cabernet Sauvignon. It is said to have a rich flavour profile of red grapes and juicy raisins with whispers of chocolate and liquorice.

    Bottled at 40% in a 1 litre bottle. RRP £84.999 / €95.99 / $109.99

  • Dalmore The Quintet
Dalmore The Quintet boasts a five cask finish in casks that previously held sweet and rare Moscatel, Malmsey Madeira, 30 Year Old Matusalem sherry, 10 Year Old Port and Bordeaux Cabernet Sauvignon. Described as having flavours of exotic fruits drenched in maple syrup and coffee notes.

    Bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. RRP £99.990 / €112.990 / $129.99

The packaging of The Trio, The Quartet and The Quintet has a larger, more prominent metallic Royal Stag emblem adorning each bottle – The Dalmore’s iconic graphic device.

Although not a GTR exclusive, the six-cask finish King Alexander III expression, which boasts a unique assemblage of six exquisitely curated cask finishes, is already available in travel retail (70cl, RSP £180 / $239). It is the hero of The Dalmore range, and it will feature refreshed packaging with a larger stag logo, enhanced box and minimalist design.
